MORE PRAYERS TO OUR LORD

Here are some other traditional Catholic prayers to Christ which I find very beautiful.  They mention many aspects of His Sacred Humanity at once, and so do not fall into just one category.

Anima Christi

Soul of Christ, sanctify me.
Body of Christ, save me.
Blood of Christ, inebriate me.
Water from the side of Christ, wash me.
Passion of Christ, strengthen me.
O good Jesus, hear me.
Within Thy Wounds hide me.
Permit me not to be separated from Thee.
From the malignant foe, defend me.
In the hour of death, call me.
And bid me come to Thee.
That with Thy saints I may praise Thee.
Forever and ever. Amen
Novena of Confidence to the Sacred Heart
O Lord, Jesus Christ, To Thy Most Sacred Heart I confide this intention...(mention your request)

Only look upon me, then do what Thy Heart inspires. . . Let Thy Sacred Heart decide. . . I count on It. . . I trust in It. . . I throw myself on Its mercy. . .  Lord Jesus! Thou wilt not fail me.  Sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust in Thee.  Sacred Heart of Jesus, I believe in Thy love for me.  Sacred Heart of Jesus, Thy Kingdom Come.

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, I have asked for many favors, but I earnestly implore this one.  Take it, place it in Thy Sacred Heart.  When the Eternal Father sees it covered with Thy Precious Blood, He will not refuse it.  It will be no longer my prayer but Thine, O Jesus.  O Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in Thee.  Let me never be confounded.  Amen.

Precious Blood Novena

Similar to the one above

Lork, Thou bearest me written in Thy Hands in letters of indelible red, which are Thy most Holy Wounds, and to inspire me with confidence Thou gently sayest: "I have written you in My Hands with the marks of My most Holy Wounds."*

Therefore, will I ever say to Thee: "Read, Lord Jesus, read that handwriting and save me through Thy Precious Blood."

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, I have asked Thee for many favors, but I plead for this one.  Take it, place it in Thine open, broken Heart, and when the Eternal Father sees it covered with the mantle of Thy Precious Blood, He will not refuse it if, in His infinite and farseeing Wisdom, He sees it is best for my spiritual and temporal welfare.  It is not alone my prayer, but Thine.  Amen.

More to come soon, God willing. :-)
